Before committing to this approach it is important to have an insight into what is involved. Your next step is to obtain a copy of one of Jan Fennell's publications. The book 'The Dog Listener' is available through libraries. It and her DVD 'The Dog Listener' can be purchased online from www.amazon.co.uk

Both these publications will provide you with sufficient information to help you decide if you wish further help by booking a consultation.

What your consultation will include

Your consultation: A one-off fee will be agreed prior to a lifetime contract between us. Should for any reason I cease to be available, you will have access to another dog listener for support at no additional cost.

I will come to your home at a time that is mutually suitable. The initial consultation is likely to last up to 4 hours. During that time we will

• identify areas of concern and set realistic outcomes for you to achieve with your dog
• apply the principles of leadership towards your dog to your lifestyle
• draw up an action plan for you to follow through
• agree a time within days of the consultation for me to contact you about progress

I will leave you with telephone and email addresses so that I can continue to support you through the changing relationship with your dog.
